employees. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), you will be
an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, responsible for
leading our social services program to meet all legal,
organizational, medical, and regulatory standards. Youll
collaborate with a dedicated team of therapists, case managers, and
discharge planners to ensure the highest quality care for our
patients. This role is essential in shaping treatment plans and
ensuring the well-being of those in our care. POSITION SUMMARY: The
Clinical Social Service Director assumes responsibility for the
functioning and communication within the social service department.
The clinical social worker participates as an integral professional
member of a multidisciplinary team, implementing and assisting in
the supervision of social service interventions to patients. The
clinical social worker oversees the implementation of interventions
performed by other disciplines with the social service department.
These other disciplines include the discharge planner, case
manager, and activity therapist, along with other social service
employees. The clinical social worker works in collaboration with
other clinical departments through consultation with the medical
staff, DON, and nursing staff. The clinical social worker works to
facilitate resolution of concerns in the patient population
identified and ensures that services, programing and patients
social needs meet the highest quality of care. The Clinical Social
Worker demonstrates understanding and interpretation of facility
policies to ensure that policies are adhere to. Furthermore, the
Clinical Social Worker demonstrates a strong knowledgeable of a
wide range of disorders; cognitive, emotional, and developmental,
social and behavioral. Additional duties include, performs crisis
intervention, special case conferences, family communication, and
takes a lead role in the treatment team process. In addition,
maintains performance improvement activities within the department
and participates QM activities. The Clinical Social worker adheres
to the highest ethical standards regarding patient care and rights.
The Clinical Social Worker facilitates communication to outside
agencies to ensure that these patient rights, care, and needs are
met. The Clinical Social Worker assists with formulating the
budgetary needs with the social service department. Key
Responsibilities: Clinical Leadership:Provide supervision and
oversight for individual, group, and family therapy sessions,
ensuring quality and adherence to treatment plans. Team
Collaboration:Act as a key member of the multidisciplinary team,
participating in chart reviews and contributing to quality
assurance efforts. Comprehensive Care:Lead discharge and aftercare
planning, provide clinical documentation, and guide clinical staff
in effective patient care. Clinical Counseling Services:Offer
therapeutic interventions in individual, group, and family
settings, tailored to the needs of each patient. Maintain a
culturally sensitive and patient-centered approach. Ongoing
Development:Supervise and approve psychosocial assessments and
ensure clinical notes are comprehensive and accurate. Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong
organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume
workload. Ability to work effectively under supervision and with a
team. Expertise in therapeutic interventions and de-escalation
techniques. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED: Education: Masters in Social Work form an accredited
school of social work License: Licensed through the State by the
Regulatory Body that is vested to bestow licensure toSocial Workers
Experience: One year experience performing duties as a Social
Worker in a Behavioral Health setting Skills: Excellent
communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong
organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume
workload. Ability to work effectively under supervision and with a
team. Expertise in therapeutic interventions and de-escalation
