Description T. Baker Smith is seeking talented Project Technicians with survey and/or drafting experience to support our growing team in Lafayette, Louisiana! Your Opportunity: To gain experience working with Professional Surveyors and technicians. Prepare client deliverables. Calculating, analyzing, organizing, coordinating, and researching information, preparing drawings, and aiding in tasks necessary to complete the project. Ability to team up with our surveyors to prepare and discuss drawings and project specifications and details for a variety of survey and mapping projects. Providing technical support for project teams. To help in any area necessary to get the work completed according to the project schedule. Assist other project teams or departments with technical, field, or other duties as needed or requested. Desired Qualifications and Skills: Associate degree in Drafting and Design or Bachelor's degree in Geomatics Proven experience in survey and mapping. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, InRoads, or OpenRoads. Self-motivation and the ability to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail is a must. Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment. Experience comes in different forms; many skills are transferable – and passion goes a long way.
