Offshore General Planner - Job DescriptionSummaryThe Offshore General Planner is responsible for planning routine corrective and preventative maintenance, as well as minor modification activities while accounting for HSSE factors, reliability, and cost in support of a production asset in the Gulf of Mexico.This asset is currently in the project phase. Duties and responsibilities will be catered to the current project phase with a heavy focus on initial setup and build of maintenance systems in preparation for handover of the asset to operations and startup.PurposeThe General Planner plays a significant role in the successful delivery of Maintenance Execution. This role is on the frontlines (14/14 rotational work schedule) of Maintenance Execution and will be responsible for the following:Coaching maintenance planning team members and other offshore colleagues on the Maintenance Execution ProcessWalking down corrective and preventative maintenance work ordersDelivering first time quality work packs to the fieldIdentifying and coordinating 3rd party resource needsDutiesPerform work prep activities for work orders in the GP queue including but not limited to:Providing detailed procedural job stepsIdentifying and coordinating 3rd party and/or construction needs for orders with support activity requirementsIdentifying and requisitioning required materials/services to facilitate repairs at the assetRough cut scheduling and level loading the scheduleBundling work on equipmentIdentifying production and/or POB impactsAdhering to budget limits, seek platform leadership/finance approval as neededAdjusting start date based upon needs of the asset/constraintsComplying with and adhere to all AMS-Maintenance Execution process requirementsConsulting Technical Engineering Support for procedure or work planning guidance and seeking concurrence as neededResponsible for the creation, modification, and utilization of corrective maintenance task listsRequest and respond to eME feedbackResponsibilities"-- - -Develop maintenance work planning for an asset in accordance with the AMS ME (local eME Planning Process) including:"-- - -Identify and provide detailed procedural job steps, craft type and count required, materials required, and duration to execute each job step (consulting SME's, advisors, engineering for technical input/ clarification on scope)"-- - -Include minimum required components to a work package determined by the QA QC guidance by engineering discipline"-- - -Identify individual job plan SIMOPS impacts (production impacts, POB impacts to IAPS, etc.) by utilization of System Condition"-- - -Identify MOC needs and communicate to correct AMS work process via Waiting on Engineering MOC, and MTO user statuses applied to work order (ex. MTO Fit4 entry)"-- - -Adhere to budgetary limits, seeking approval by OMC for work order spend above certain dollar amount awaiting release"-- - -Adjust work order start date based on identified planning constraints (ex. Materials lead time) and rough-cut schedule work into most efficient approach considering SIMOPS needs of the asset"-- - -Raise needs for stock/MMR updates to warehouseman"-- - -Coordinate and optimize 3rd party needs and mobilization movements (ex. Batching work orders for vendor to execute)"-- - -Requisition identified materials/services"-- - -Serve as QA of work planning across planning team validating the completeness of work prep, provide coaching to peers"-- - -Interface with expeditor to request materials to ship from GOM DC to platform in Materials Status Meeting, interface with warehouseman for materials validation on the asset"-- - -Divide up incoming work and assigning to work preparers (WPT, GP, Discipline Planners). Flag Program Work/ Major Maintenance vs. Routine Maintenance at discretion of OMCPlan small plant change jobs vetted through MTO process and fully plannable from engineering at discretion of MTL via WO request"-- - -Continuous Improvement/ Efficiency Improvements:"-- - -Create, utilize, and modify CM Task Lists (CMTL's)"-- - -Submit Material Master Record requests/edits"-- - -Submit PM Redlines - Criteria 1 Changes"-- - -Seek, obtain, and action CM feedback, perform RCA'sSkills & QualificationsMust be able to demonstrate an expert level of knowledge in maintenance planning and rough-cut scheduling, Shell maintenance planning experience requiredExperience with and knowledge of operating and maintaining platforms in the Gulf of MexicoKnowledge of maintenance scheduling and estimating principles/techniquesUnderstanding of resource planning and resource allocation techniquesDemonstrated commitment to safe work practicesMust hold or be able to obtain HUET certification for offshore travel5+ years of craft experience required, 2+ years in an offshore oil & gas production environment preferredEffective organization skills, time management, and interpersonal skills are a mustMust be self-directed and work well independentlyExperienced team player capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple competing prioritiesAbility to develop and foster positive working relationships with Planning Team members, asset leadership, and all asset-based personnel is a necessityJob Type: Full-timePay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insuranceVision insuranceSchedule:12 hour shiftEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Planning/Scheduling: 5 years (Preferred)Oil & Gas Offshore Production Enviornment: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
