Job Description:

SUMMARYMaintains office buildings, ensures buildings and facilities are maintained in clean and orderly condition and ensure heating, air conditioning, water and electrical systems are in good working order. Also maintains security and fire systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES include, but are not limited, to the following:• Maintains buildings, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, carpentry and other related maintenance activities• Travels to our CENLA locations weekly for repairs, replaces burnt light bulbs, changes air conditioner filters, and other needed items• Replaces air conditioner filters• Notifies manager concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, air, heating, plumbing, roofs, shutters, columns, parking lots and maintenance equipment• Opens, inspects, and secures the main office and main office drive-in; displays security all clear signal for main office lobby• Monitors and schedules routine maintenance of all bank vehicles• Maintains schedule of maintenance for all building equipment• Monitors, tests, and schedules maintenance of several in-house systems• Weekly monitoring of the Generator System at the Main Office• Compliance training is assigned to all Bank personnel based on their position with the Bank. Employees are required to complete all assigned training timely and in accordance with Bank policy.• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of three (3) years maintenance/construction experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural directives and manuals• Fluency must be in English; knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
REASONING ABILITY
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, applicable penalties and percentages• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Must have extensive knowledge in the electrical, plumbing and carpentry fields.• Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to type, finger, handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk, climb; or balance; stoop; or kneel. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
ENVIRONMENT AND SCHEDULING
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and outside weather conditions, as well as road hazard conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can be loud when working around mechanical areas.Normal work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Regular attendance is required. Must be available to accept call outs after hours and on weekends, as needed.Extensive travel is required.
