Ingevity!Purpose (eg, key reason why the organization requires this
role, why the role exists):Safe operation of equipment associated
with flaking and packaging operations in the Hard Resin and Post
Refinery production areas and insures that areas are in full
compliance with all applicable Company, State, and Federal
regulations. Assists in coordinating and prioritizing work in the
Hard Resin and Post Refinery production areas.Experience (eg,
knowledge, education, skills, years of experience required to
perform the role competently, etc. Do not list personal background
only): Knowledge: An understanding of plant processes and
production flow in Hard Resin and Post Refinery production
areas.Education: High School Diploma.Skills/Abilities: Must be able
to operate fork trucks and must have DOT Hazmat Certification.
Certified and trained in Confined Space, Hot Work, and
Hydro-blasting Polices.Fully certified in Hard Resin or Post
Refinery Flaking and Packaging for both the Hard Resin and Post
Refinery production areas. Position may also be certified in the
Hard Resin or Post Refinery Kettle area and the Resinate Filter for
push up into these positions. The Hard Resin Kettle Operator and
Resinate Filter positions require PSM Training prior to performing
any task unsupervised and PSM Refresher Training every three
years.Work Experience: 1 year of plant/operations experience with
appropriate training.Travel Required: May be required but rare.Key
Output/Deliverables (eg, identify the key results produced through
listing the primary five to seven duties and responsibilities of
this job which include but are not limited to.):Responsible for the
safe operation of all assigned process equipment in the Hard Resin
and Post Refinery - Flaking Belts, Cooling Water Systems, Secondary
Hot Oil Systems, Packaging Equipment, Product Filtering Equipment
(gaff filters and auto-filters), and Environmental Control
Equipment. Safe operation includes all routine and emergency
procedures for start up, operation, and shutdown of all process
equipment position is responsible for.Perform miscellaneous
production support activities, as directed by the Shift Lead and
Process Control Lead, such as assisting with fluidizer setup, raw
material procurement and staging, waste disposal, filtering bulk
liquid products, reactor sampling, area housekeeping.Troubleshoots
process and equipment, makes necessary corrections, and initiates
work requests for maintenance as necessary. Performs and completes
preventive maintenance (PM) and minor maintenance as necessary and
as trained to do so. Prepares area and equipment for maintenance
and the following permits: hot work and confined space. Also
responsible for issuing line entry permits and freeze proofing on
assigned equipment as required.Responsible for preparing
Non-Hazardous Waste Pad shipments.May be assigned to push up and
assume full responsibilities in the Hard Resin and Post Refinery
Area. Note: When assuming full responsibility for the Hard Resin or
Post Refinery Kettle area, the employee will be paid at a rate
equivalent to an Operator IIIA (Hard Resin/Post Refinery Kettle
Operator).May be assigned to push up and assume full
responsibilities in the Resinate Filter area. Note: When assuming
full responsibility for the Resinate Filter, the employee will be
paid at a rate that is one-half the difference between the rate of
pay for an Operator II (Flaker Operator) and an Operator IIIA
