Basic Function The Production Maintenance Coordinator (PMC) for Polymers act as a gatekeeper and is the liaison between the Operations Department and Maintenance departments as it pertains to maintaining the assets in the Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) unit at the Louisiana Integrated Polyethylene Joint Venture (LIP JV), LKO, in Lake Charles. This role reviews and scrutinize the work requested for appropriate scope and justification and provides maintenance with appropriate priorities based upon HSE and regulatory needs, business needs, production needs, and budget constraints. The PMC represents operations in the maintenance process and is accountable for the execution of HSE and regulatory required maintenance work, ensuring preventative maintenance (PM) compliance, coordinating regular and routine maintenance work, and maintaining schedule compliance. This position is also responsible for providing technical support for the daily operation of the plant. Responsibilities & Accountabilities General:

Assists the Operations Lead and Shift Supervisors in directing the daily activities in the process units. Issues daily process unit operating instructions. Continuously monitors SAP to screen all work requests (notifications) prior to approval:

Eliminates duplicate notifications and provides appropriate feedback. Eliminates non-value-added work notifications. Promptly closes (TECO) orders upon job completion. Verifying accuracy and completeness of job scopes. Providing feedback to the technicians when notifications are not properly entered or are entered with insufficient descriptions. Insuring the appropriate priority is assigned. Insuring the requested work creates value relative to the current business environment. Insuring the MOC process is followed when necessary.

Continually manages notification and work order backlog with the scheduler / planner to ensure jobs with the highest priority and most value are prioritized, planned, and executed in a timely fashion. Acts as liaison between multiple organization levels in operations and maintenance workgroups to ensure an efficient workflow process is maintained while adhering to the published schedule. Manages PM backlog with the planner/scheduler and maintenance supervisor to ensure PM's are executed as required or appropriate documentation is completed to support any exceptions. Manages emergency and urgent work requests with Operations Supervisors by ensuring necessary planning is done to ensure the safe and timely completion of jobs. Reviews maintenance call-outs. Communicates MOWP KPI performance to site and corporate contacts. Maintains, with planner/scheduler and Maintenance supervisor, the unit planning priority list that clearly sets required completion dates. Based on planned estimates, reviews and approves work orders and changes to start dates due to material or services requirements to ensure costs are justified according to current business environment and timing can meet the needs of the production unit. This function is accomplished by coordination with the planner/scheduler and Maintenance Supervisor. Maintains the unit scheduling priority list comprised of ready to schedule regulatory required work, PMs, project related work, and process unit needs. Works with scheduling, maintenance and Operations Supervisor and materials management to review and approve the plant maintenance schedule to ensure all available resources are fully utilized. Assists in the planning of the turnaround schedule as to scope of work to be due in the unit. Ensures compliance of applicable safety, environmental rules, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities Cont'd Acts as point of contact for other third party services and coordinates outside services for various periodic planned work. Acts as point of contact for LDAR and DOR mitigation and reporting. Participating in the identification and implementation of reliability driven improvements. Drives implementation of Operations Clean Sweep (OCS) improvement initiatives. Accountable for managing action items assigned to the unit generated as a result of audits, incident investigations, or other systems. Champion of Operating Discipline: audits round sheets, logs, and provides feedback to Operations Supervisors and Operations Technicians. Assists operating technicians in developing and approving startup/shutdown procedures. Evaluate and improve existing procedures and develop new procedures as necessary to maximize plant HSE performance, quality, yield, and profitability. Updates Standard Operating Procedures, Normal Operating Ranges, and Safe Operating Conditions in support of the plant's Process Safety Management effort. Works with Process/Production Engineering to ensure Operating Manuals are accurate and up to date. Assists in MOC. Ensures compliance with quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications Education: High school diploma (or equivalent)

Work Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in a chemical process or unit knowledge. Prior leadership experience as a production or maintenance supervisor, supervisory step-up, or step-up PMC preferred.

Other Skills: Thorough technical understanding of plant chemical processes and unit operations as well as good mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of maintenance processes. Effective interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with others at all levels and across departmental lines. Strong computer skills, with a working knowledge of SAP's plant maintenance module and office-based computer software. Must be highly motivated and results oriented. Ability to deal with uncertainty and carry out their work with minimal direct supervision.
