Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Pastry Chef, the incumbent is responsible for the baking of products. * Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures. * Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees. * Responsible for baking of products as determined by the Pastry Chef * Must maintain high standards of quality and appearance for all food prepared and served. Following all quality control and portion control programs. * Responsible for cleanliness and organization of all bakery production areas at all times including compliance with all local and Federal health codes. * Responsible for inventory of all bakery production items necessary for station set-up and accurately complete production charts for amounts of items produced. * Insures proper food handling of all food products. * Coordinate acquisition of all food products with supervisor. * Follow "Clean As You Work" policy and accident prevention at all time. * Uniform requirement: Approved chef's uniform. Must be clean at all times. * Required to attend all casino and departmental staff meetings as announced. * Utilization of all forms and controls including: Production lists, Wastage sheets, Transfers, Product Requisition, Recipes and Manuals. * Stay abreast of current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports and employees as appropriate. * Promote positive public/employee relations at all times. * Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility. * Safeguard the confidential information of all employee, department and company records. * Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: * High School Diploma required. * Culinary Arts Degree preferred. * One (1) year of baking experience required. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal communication skills are required. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking, hands-on environment. Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationships with all individuals. Ability to work occasional overtime and irregular hours.
