RN, Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab Recovery Description Under the general supervision of the Cath Lab Manager, the CardiacCath Lab nurse is responsible for rendering and/or directing professional and nonprofessional personnel in the delivery of patient care by use of the nursing process.Capable of assessing, treating, and caring for pre-adolescent, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population.Responsible for the plan of total care of patients while in the Cardiac Cath Lab and directs emergency procedures in the absence of a physician.Directs and supervises the actions of other team members.Relieves as charge nurse when requested and assists the manager in monitoring and maintaining level of care Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Current Louisiana State RN Licensure Current BLS, ACLSMust be able to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and medical staff both verbally and written.One year prior nursing experience in CCU/ICU or Special Procedures required; previous Cath Lab experience preferred.
