Job Description Cardiovascular Surgeon Opportunity – Lafayette, LA (Permanent) Position Overview Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Setting: Hospital-Based Trauma Level: II EMR: Epic Team Structure Cardiovascular Surgeons: 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs): 3 Clinical Volume Program Volume: ~90 surgeries/procedures per month Procedures Performed Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS) Thoracotomies Lobectomies Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repairs Arterial bypasses Aortic valve replacements Schedule & Call Schedule: Scheduled clinic hours call Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 5:1 Call Response Time: 30 minutes ER Call Coverage: Required Clinical Responsibilities Inpatient rounding Surgical consults Emergency department call coverage Admissions required Assigned & unassigned rounding patients Licensure & Certifications Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible – REQUIRED Fellowship: Cardiovascular Surgery fellowship preferred Additional Notes Busy, established CV surgery program with strong APP support Opportunity to join a high-volume, growing service line Allow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more!
