Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Lafayette, LA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,136 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience License: Compact or state license required Certifications: ACLS NIHSS BLS Must-Have: Telemetry experience Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a Med-Surg/Telemetry position. The nurse will work with patients experiencing a range of diagnoses, including chest pain, CAD, DM, PVD, COPD exacerbations, COVID-19, TIA, stroke, hypertension, Afib, Aflutter, bradycardia, tachycardia, and more. Responsibilities include pre and post angiogram/angioplasty care, managing cardiac devices, and performing various surgical procedures. The nurse will be responsible for telemetry monitoring and the management of cardiac drips. Strong organizational and patient management skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience with telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation. Candidates must be comfortable working in high-pressure situations and must be willing to accept responsibilities assigned by unit management during emergency events. All applicants must comply with required vaccinations as outlined. Candidates should have the ability to handle a patient ratio of 6:1.
