Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiac Catheterization Lab Location: Lake Charles, LA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,086 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 5x8 (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: ACLS BLS Must-Have: Previous charge experience Experience with Epic charting system Description: Cath Lab RN needed for daytime shifts. Responsible for finishing cases that go beyond 3:30 PM when on call. On-call duties include every other weekend and up to three weekdays. Locals accepted. First-time travelers accepted. Daily census of 8-10 patients. Perform all types of diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral procedures. Procedures include stenting, AAA, TAVR, atherectomy, thrombectomy, FFR, IVUS, IVL, IABP, and Impella. Pacemaker and ICD implants are also performed. Staffing includes 2 RNs and 2 RTs per case using three cath lab rooms. Anesthesia is used for specific cases upon request. Moderate sedation is administered by cath lab RNs for all cases. The call team consists of the same four staff members and is available 24/7. Special equipment utilized includes Ge and Toshiba x-ray units, Mac Lab hemodynamics, BSCI IVUS, Shockwave IVL, Diamondback Atherectomy, Abiomed Impella, Getinge IABP, and Angiojet thrombectomy. Keep requests for time off to a minimum, especially in the first two weeks of the assignment. Holidays may need to be worked. Candidates may float with staff in accordance with facility policies. An appropriate orientation will be provided if floating occurs. Modules required are non-billable and recorded through a designated system.
