Job Description IDR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel We’re hiring a Cath Lab RN for a day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) with ASAP start. Join a skilled cardiovascular team performing a variety of interventional procedures including cardiac caths, TAVRs, peripherals, and device implants. Responsibilities Include: - Delivering complex nursing care using the full nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) - Administering medications and monitoring for effectiveness and side effects - Educating patients and families on care plans and recovery - Documenting patient histories, assessments, medications, and procedures - Delegating tasks appropriately to team members to ensure high-quality patient care - Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to manage clinical situations Unit Info: - Procedures: Cardiac caths, peripherals, TAVRs, pacemakers, AICDs - Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1 patient to 4 staff (2 RNs, 2 techs) - No floating to other units - On-call required (rotational with team) - Every 3rd or 4th weekend rotation - Temp-to-perm conversion possible Requirements: - Active RN license in the state of employment (or compact) - BLS (required) - ACLS (required) - 1 year of critical care or cath lab experience preferred (new grads accepted) - BSN preferred Orientation & Onboarding: - All experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire - Precepted by trained staff with unit-specific competency validation - Ongoing annual competency assessments required Epic experience preferred/n/nTemp-to-perm potential available/n/nMust be comfortable with on-call responsibilities and rotating weekends/n/nCandidates with experience in interventional or cardiovascular care are highly encouraged to apply/n/nNew graduates will be considered and provided thorough onboarding support/n/n About IDR Healthcare IDR Healthcare is an awarding winning staffing firm that believes it is a privilege and awesome responsibility to serve those who selflessly care for others.
