Job Description:

Responsibilities: Provide continuous monitoring and nursing care for high-acuity patients transitioning from ICU or requiring advanced medical attention. Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per hospital protocol. Manage non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP) and high-flow oxygen therapy. Start peripheral IVs and monitor for complications. Respond to telemetry changes and initiate appropriate clinical interventions. Accurately document assessments, medications, and treatments in Cerner EMR . Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for care planning. Float to other units within scope if needed Requirements: Experience: 18 months of recent PCU/stepdown experience Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS Certifications Preferred: NIHSS, Conscious Sedation License: Active IN State RN license (must be in hand at time of submission) First-Time Travelers: Accepted Locals Accepted: No Pending License: Not accepted RTO Restrictions: Must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays Floating: May float within scope as needed
