Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac
Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 7:00
AM - 3:30 PM Experience: Minimum 1 year in related nursing
specialty preferred License: RN License in state of employment or
compact Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Current ACLS
certification required Description: The competent Nurse in a
clinical setting practices independently. Demonstrates awareness of
all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex
care. Ability to work on long-range goals or plans. Continues to
develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of
clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to
other care providers. Meets expectations of applicable
competencies. Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
Includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and
evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex
psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients
and families. Uses appropriate protocol to administer medications
and treatments. Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of
prescribed treatment. Documents patient history, symptoms,
medication, and care given. Assesses learning needs and provides
education to patients, family members, and caretakers. Identifies
issues and resources. All newly hired experienced RNs must attend
orientation within the first 30 days of hire. New hires are
precepted by a designated trained staff member. Initial onboarding
requirements are validated through successful completion of
competency validation. Completion of all annual competency
verification requirements is expected. One year of experience in a
critical care setting preferred but new graduates will be
considered.
