Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7
PM - 7 AM) Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
preferred License: Current RN License in state of employment or
compact Certifications: Current BLS, Current ACLS Must-Have: One
year recent nursing experience preferred Description: The competent
nurse practices independently in a clinical setting. Demonstrates
awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine
and complex care with the ability to focus on long-range goals or
plans. Continues to develop skills to cope with and manage
contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments
and delegates to other care providers to manage the clinical
situation. Meets expectations of the applicable competencies,
including Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides
nursing care utilizing the nursing process. This includes
assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for
assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological,
emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Utilizes appropriate protocol to administer medications and
treatments, monitoring for side effects and treatment
effectiveness. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and
care provided. Assesses learning needs and provides education to
patients, family members, and/or caregivers. Identifies issues and
resources to support care delivery. All newly hired experienced RNs
must attend a New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of
hire. New hires will be precepted by a designated trained staff
member. Initial onboarding requirements are validated through
successful completion of organized competency validation. Skills
completion and competency verification will be documented through
the designated tracking software. Completion of all annual
competency verification requirements is necessary.
