Job Description:
Our women & children's service line on our Lake Area campus is a
strategic focus for CHRISTUS Ochsner. Therefore, we are in the
planning stages for renovations of the care area. We are looking
for candidates with NICU and/or pediatric experience, but the right
candidate we will train! We want someone with a caring,
compassionate, and forward thinking disposition to add to our team
during this foundational growth. Performs safe, effective clinical
care utilizing the nursing process, within the Family Centered Care
setting. Demonstrates experise in patient assessment, nursing care
planning, nursing skills, patient teaching, evaluation of patient
responses and documentation. Demonstrates an interest in the
continuing education process, identifies own professional needs and
participates in the education of peers and students.
Requirements
Registered Nurse with current licensure in Louisiana
Minimum 1 year experience in caring for infant, and/or children
preferred
Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience, in a hospital
stetting, to be considered for relief (PRN) employment
Current BLS
PALS for pediatric RNs
NRP within 3 months of employment
