Regional President/SVP for Calcasieu Parish in Lake Charles Posted Date 8/20/2021 Bank Name Position Description Description: Supervises: All Branch Operations Managers and Loan Officers assigned to the region as well as the Secondary market manager. Position Summary: With minimal supervision, serves as the senior banking officer in the respective community and as the market leader responsible for coordination and promotion of FNBD's image within the community. Responsible for management and optimization of all commercial banking and consumer banking functions within the defined market area. This includes, but is not limited to, the administration of the commercial and consumer loan portfolio, commercial and consumer deposit acquisitions, development of existing business clients, acquisition of new clients, delivery of fee-based revenue services, and integration of retail and commercial business. Act as primary leader of these various functions for the assigned regional market. Typical Duties: Develops and manages an individual loan portfolio, calling on existing and potential customers to develop loan and deposit business. Interviews, obtain credit information, make a decision within credit limit or make a recommendation to Loan Committee. Responsible for the development and execution of annual budget, goals and staffing needs for the secondary market mortgage department. Assume regional responsibility for the profitability, assets quality, and growth of assigned group loan and deposit portfolios by ensuring the servicing of all client credit relationships, including credit proposal write-ups, file documentation, legal documentation, compliance, and loan closings, identifying potential portfolio weaknesses, and managing problems/delinquent credit relationships. Develop and execute a focused marketing plan, growing new relationships, and expanding existing and prospective client relationships. Responsible for meeting loan, deposit, and asset quality for the region goals. Responsible for continuous improvements and sales effectiveness of lending staff, through sales leadership, including coaching and counseling, feedback and reinforcement, and support of the Bank's sales and credit cultures. Manage weekly sales marketing meetings including facilitating sales calls, inspecting calling and referral activity, managing pipeline and holding Lenders/Relationship Managers (RM) accountable for marketing activities. Make recommendations for assigned personnel, if applicable, regarding employment, training, performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, transfers, terminations, career enhancement, and staffing. Interpret and ensure communication of and adherence to the Bank's policies, programs, and objectives. Operate within the Region's annual budget parameters, monitor actual performance against budget and participate in setting annual goals. Participate in civic, government, professional, business, and community affairs, associations and groups to solicit new business. Administer contributions and donations to various charitable, civic, educational or other organizations. Collaborates with fellow officers in developing, implementing and marketing new products and in making product and marketing plan. Identifies questionable actions, operational inefficiencies and collaborates with staff to resolve or improve them. Participates in community organizations and events to enhance the images and reputation of the financial institution in the communities it serves or plans to serve. Make recommendations, on loan policy enhancements and financial products. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education and related training. Eight years of financial services experience with at least five years in management experience preferred. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and to handle multiple priorities under time constraints. Strong leadership skills. Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines, federal and state laws and banking regulations. Hands-on approach. Organized. Effective time management and the ability to work independently and productively in a high volume fast paced environment. Knowledge of, and the ability to use, current technology proficiently, including a personal computer, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and other technology based tools. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources effectively. Ability to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality and professionalism. Ability to work alongside co-workers in a team environment. Strong knowledge and ability to supervise and lead staff. Strong knowledge of FNBD products and services. Reliable attendance, highest ethical and character traits. Certifications Required: Requires successful registration with, and issuance of a unique identification number from, the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) in compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act). Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance: Maneuvering to and around equipment; Bending, stooping, and reaching; Utilizing keyboard; Monitoring computer screens. May include viewing computer/CCTV monitor(s) and detailed work requiring close vision. Moving or lifting boxes up to 25 pounds. Answering/making phone calls. Communicating with others. Work Environment: Work is primarily performed in an office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise and noise from office equipment. Travel to various branch locations may be required.
