Job Description:
Drax Group plc, a pioneer in sustainable energy, is seeking a
skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our
dedicated Engineering & Maintenance team. This pivotal role
supports our mission to achieve a zero carbon future by ensuring
the reliability and efficiency of our electrical and
instrumentation systems across our power generation facilities. The
successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the
operational excellence that Drax is known for, optimizing our
processes and contributing to our sustainable energy goals. Perform
routine and emergency maintenance on electrical, instrumentation,
and control systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment
and instrumentation, ensuring minimal downtime. Calibrate and
maintain instrumentation sensors and systems to ensure accuracy and
reliability. Interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints and
schematics for effective maintenance and upgrades. Collaborate with
engineering teams to optimize plant performance and efficiency.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards at
all times. Document maintenance activities and provide feedback for
continuous improvement. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems,
wiring, and electronic instrumentation. Proficiency in using
diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting and repairs.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and
schematics. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to
resolving issues. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Control Systems Technician
(CCST) or similar. Relevant safety certifications such as NFPA 70E,
OSHA electrical safety.
