**At Acxiom, a Sr. Data Engineer:**

- Engages in an Agile/Scrum process to lead the design and implementation of new data products and features
- Implements data transformation processes using Hadoop Map/Reduce, Spark, Hive, and Acxiom tools to processes high volumes of data
- Embraces a "privacy first" approach to data governance and the evolution of the data ecosystem
- Engages with other team members, product managers, and program managers in setting quarterly objectives and defining product feature roadmaps
- Celebrates successes large and small on a team where all perspectives are valued, and servant leaders are not micro-managers
- Works with a larger team of engineers to quickly address client and system issues
- Champions the future by pursuing continued education and skills development and by identifying new technology and techniques that create an advantage for our clients

**Qualifications**

- 3+ years of full-time work experience in data engineering/analytics role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or similar field
- Strong communication skills across organizational boundaries and with leaders
- Experience in developing solutions that rely on Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, and Spark
- Have created or supported relational databases and have a knowledge of SQL
- Have led a multifunction team in the creation of a new product or product features
- Have participated in agile/scrum-based development projects
- Willing to challenge the "status-quo" and lead improvements
- Energetic and passionate about technology and data #GD17
