information. Job Title: Purchasing Intern Pay Grade: AcqSal Job
Description: Primary Purpose of Role The Purchasing Intern supports
the procurement team by assisting with sourcing, supplier
communication, data analysis, and administrative tasks that
contribute to efficient purchasing operations. This role provides
hands?on experience in supply chain and procurement processes. Key
Responsibilities Internship will focus on projects defined by
management and managed by the Intern to completion. This will
include: refining the scope of the projects assigned benchmarking
existing processes and system defining the desired end result
managing multiple projects and timelines to completion report out
and successful hand off. Participate in special projects related to
supply chain effectiveness. Review and update planning parameters
Strong communication and analytical skills Work with vendors,
internal and external customers on issues; All other duties as
directed by management. Competencies and Behaviors Supply Chain
Aptitude: Demonstrates interest and foundational understanding of
key supply change concepts. Problem Solving: Approaches challenges
methodically; willing to test ideas, learn from results, and
propose improvements. Attention to Detail: Accurately collects
data, follows instructions, and documents work. Collaboration:
Works well in team settings and communicates clearly with
colleagues and supervisors. Curiosity & Willingness to Learn:
Actively seeks knowledge, asks questions, and embraces feedback.
Accountability: Takes ownership of assigned tasks and delivers work
on time and with quality. Adaptability: Able to adjust to changing
priorities, tasks, or project needs. Professionalism: Demonstrates
reliability, integrity, and respect in interactions and work
habits. Qualifications and Experience Pursuing a Bachelor’s or
Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical or
Industrial Engineering preferred. Prior internship, co?op, or
hands?on project experience (academic or extracurricular) is a
plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency
with Microsoft Excel or equivalent productivity tools. Primary
