Also, we are a distributor of Hunt Brothers Pizza, now seeking a Staff Accountant for its Corporate location in Welsh. What we are looking for in a Staff Accountant: We seek an honest and dependable Associate based out of our Corporate location who is passionate about conquering challenges with excellence and becoming an important contributor in a Company experiencing significant growth. Responsibilities: * Represent Henderson' Core Values - S.P.I.R.I.T. * Report to the Accounting Manager and work to improve financial processes * Responsible for monitoring and guiding departmental and corporate overhead expenses * Maintain and update accounting records and files * Analyze budgets and create expense reports * Ensure accuracy of sales invoices and monitor accounts receivable collection efforts * Examine Sales tax policies and prepare sales tax returns and payments to multiple jurisdictions * Meet with management to discuss confidential accounting issues * Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities, and expenses) * Assist in Reconciling multiple balance sheet and income statement accounts * Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing * Prepare documents for audits * Serve as backup for all staff in the accounting department, including A/R, A/P, Payroll staff, and others as needed * Assist in developing written procedures for compliance with company policies * Be diligent in timely meeting deadlines on multiple projects and assignments * Advise management on financial issues * Apply accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations Requirements: * Similar experience as a Staff Accountant or relevant role in accounting * Able to effectively use Microsoft Office suite * Must be very proficient in advanced use of Excel spreadsheets * Able to supervise others and manage workflow * Able to effectively use multiple business systems for multiple entities * Possess good math skills * Be innovate in identifying best practices for the accounting department and other areas of the company * Have effective attention to details * Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills * Always handle confidential company and personal information with integrity * 4 year Degree in Accounting.
